IV: intravenous; EEG: electroencephalography; PLP: pyridoxal 5'-phosphate; alpha-AASA: alpha-aminoadipic semialdehyde; PNPO: pyridoxamine 5'-phosphase oxidase.
* Risk of apnea, particularly when pyridoxine is given IV.
¶ Repeated every 5 to 15 minutes with continuous EEG monitoring.
Δ alpha-AASA is also elevated in molybdenum cofactor/sulfite oxidase deficiency.
