Arteries of foot: Overview

Arteries of foot: Overview
(A) The anterior tibial artery becomes the dorsalis pedis artery when it crosses the talocrural joint.
(B) The medial and lateral plantar arteries are terminal branches of the posterior tibial artery. The deep plantar artery and perforating branches of the deep plantar arch provide anastomoses between the dorsal and the plantar arteries.
