Lymphoid interstitial pneumonia on chest radiograph and CT scan

Lymphoid interstitial pneumonia on chest radiograph and CT scan
(A) A chest radiograph shows bilateral, nonspecific diffuse interstitial coarsening and a cyst in the right lower lobe (arrow).
(B) A coronal reconstruction of a CT scan confirms the presence of cysts in the right lower lobe and left upper lobe (arrows).
(C) An axial CT scan shows extensive bibasilar cystic changes (dashed arrow) and interstitial thickening (arrow), with changes in the left pleural space (arrowhead) following wedge biopsy. A diagnosis of lymphoid interstitial pneumonia was confirmed by biopsy.
CT: computed tomography.
