5-year survival among ESKD patients from 2007 USRDS data
Incident patients on dialysis and patients receiving a first transplant in the calendar year, 1993 to 1997 and 1998 to 2002 combined; adjusted for age, sex, race, and primary diagnosis. Incident ESKD patients, 2005, used as reference cohort. Patients on dialysis are followed from day 90 after initiation; transplant patients are followed from the transplant date.
ESKD: end-stage kidney disease; USRDS: United States Renal Data System; PD: peritoneal dialysis; Tx: transplant; HD: hemodialysis.
