The apical three-chamber view from a two-dimensional echocardiogram shows a thickened intraventricular septum (IVS), almost total obliteration of the left ventricle (LV) during systole, systolic anterior movement of the mitral valve (MV), and obstruction of the LV outflow tract in systole.
