Overall survival according to risk stratification in patients with essential thrombocythemia. Overall survival rates at 5, 10, and 20 years according to risk group with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) are as follows: low risk-100.0% (95% CI, 100.0-100.0), 94.6% (95% CI, 90.5-98.9), and 72.0% (95% CI, 62.4-82.8); intermediate risk-95.2% (95% CI, 91.1-99.4), 82.9% (95% CI, 75.8-90.7), and 29.0% (95% CI, 19.3-43.5); and high risk-87.7% (95% CI, 75.2-100.0), 52.6% (95% CI, 35.7-77.5), and 0%.
