Amiodarone lung biopsy photomicrograph shows diffuse alveolar damage in a patient with amiodarone toxicity. Alveolar spaces contain histiocytes with finely vacuolated cytoplasm (arrow). Chronic interstitial pneumonia with fibrosis and organizing pneumonia have also been described in patients with amiodarone toxicity.
