Posterior lenticonus
Posterior lenticonus is a congenital defect of the posterior lens capsule that causes a conical bulge in the capsule and progressive cataract formation. In the example shown here, the bulge appears as a relatively clear protrusion (arrow) that is somewhat larger than is typical.
