Tympanostomy tube extrusion

Tympanostomy tube extrusion
(A and B) The inner flange of the tube becomes visible as it presses against the eardrum and begins to extrude as the tube tips posteriorly. Note that the tympanosclerosis is distant from the tube site (arrow).
(C) When both flanges are clearly in view, extrusion is complete. A residual healing perforation remains in the eardrum.
