Lumbosacral hemangioma

Lumbosacral hemangioma
Hemangiomas located over the lumbosacral spine may be associated with spinal dysraphism or other underlying congenital anomalies. Segmental lesions, like the one depicted above, that span the midline and are flat or telangiectatic in appearance are of greatest concern. MRI is the preferred study for closed spinal dysraphism.
MRI: magnetic resonance imaging.
