Tympanostomy tube otorrhea

Tympanostomy tube otorrhea
Approximately 30% of children have at least one episode of tympanostomy tube otorrhea, depicted above, while the tube remains in place. When otorrhea is refractory to thorough cleaning and suctioning of the tube and topical steroid-antibiotic drops, treatment is based on culture and sensitivity of organisms from the ear canal.
