Improved survival with liver transplantation in primary biliary cholangitis

Kaplan-Meier survival probabilities in 161 patients with primary biliary cholangitis treated with liver transplantation compared with the simulated survival in a "control" group calculated from the Mayo model. After six months, survival with transplantation exceeded that predicted with medical therapy alone.
