Exercise after lung volume reduction surgery (LVRS) or lung transplantation in emphysema

Comparison of six-minute walk distance before and after volume reduction (VR), single lung transplantation (SLT), and bilateral lung transplantation (BLT). The following differences were significantly different: VR greater than BLT (p <0.05) at initial evaluation; VR less than BLT at six months (p <0.001), and VR at evaluation versus six months (p <0.001).
