Right ventricular ejection fraction predicts outcome in HF

Right ventricular ejection fraction predicts outcome in HF
Among 205 patients with class II or III heart failure (HF), the right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF) correlated with two year survival free of cardiovascular mortality or urgent transplantation. The event-free survival rates for those with an RVEF <25 percent, ≥25 to <35 percent, and ≥35 percent were 59, 77, and 93 percent, respectively (p <0.00001).
