The beta-2 integrins are composed of an alpha and a common beta-2 protein chain and function as adhesive molecules. The beta-2 integrins are LFA-1 or CD18/CD11a (beta-2, alpha-L), Mac-1 or CD18/CD11b (beta-2, alpha-M), and glycoprotein 150/95 (gp150/95) or CD18/CD11c (beta-2, alpha-X).
