Duration of COP and IPF prior to diagnosis
A comparison of the duration of illness prior to diagnosis in patients with COP and IPF. Seventy-two percent of patients with COP (n = 92) had the diagnosis established within three months of the onset of symptoms versus only 24% of those (n = 25) with IPF.
COP: cryptogenic organizing pneumonia, also known as bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia (BOOP); IPF: idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
