Hormonal response to increasing sodium intake

Hormonal response to increasing sodium intake
Increasing plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and falling plasma renin activity in normal subjects given a progressively increasing sodium intake from 10 to 350 meq/day after a 5-day equilibration period. These hormonal responses promote urinary excretion of the excess sodium.
