Brain MRI of multiple subependymal nodules

Brain MRI of multiple subependymal nodules
(A) T1-weighted MRI of multiple subependymal nodules within the lateral ventricles (arrows). Nodules are relatively isointense to surrounding brain tissue.
(B) Note that two nodules enhance (arrowheads) after gadolinium administration, suggesting that these are subependymal giant cell astrocytomas.
MRI: magnetic resonance imaging.
