There is bilateral right greater than left intramuscular edema throughout the pelvis and thighs, most prominently involving the iliacus muscles, sartorius muscles, tensor fasciae latae, gluteus medius and minimus muscles, rectus femoris muscles, vastus musculature (especially the intermedius), and semitendinosus muscles. Additional milder areas of intramuscular edema are also seen. In the posterior compartment of both thighs, there is relatively symmetric fascial edema.
