Hemangioma that compresses spinal cord

Hemangioma that compresses spinal cord
30-year-old with "aggressive" T7 hemangioma (low-flow venous malformation) that compresses the spinal cord. Noncontrast CT (A) shows the typical "polka dot" or "corduroy" pattern of vertebral body hemangioma. On sagittal T2-weighted MRI (C), the hemangioma is hyperintense and extends into the ventral epidural space. Postcontrast T1-weighted images in transverse axial (B) and sagittal (D) planes show enhancing hemangioma that extends into the paraspinal and epidural space and compresses the spinal cord.
CT: computed tomography; MRI: magnetic resonance imaging.
