Cervical intramedullary glioblastoma

Cervical intramedullary glioblastoma
Sagittal STIR (A) and postcontrast T1-weighted MRI with fat saturation (B) shows a hyperintense and enhancing intramedullary mass in the upper cervical cord (thick arrows). In addition, there is extensive STIR-hyperintense signal extending from the medulla to C4 (bracket), consistent with infiltrative tumor. Transverse axial pre- (C) and postcontrast (D) T1-weighted images demonstrate enhancement of intramedullary tumor (arrow). Biopsy confirmed a diagnosis of glioblastoma.
STIR: short-tau inversion recovery; MRI: magnetic resonance imaging.
