ΒΆ EGD is typically able to examine through the second portion of the duodenum; push enteroscopy can advanced into the proximal jejunum. Because of its capacity to advance deeply into small bowel, device-assisted enteroscopy may be endoscopic procedure of choice but success is variable, even in expert hands.
