Thyroid ultrasound: Nodule with a halo

Thyroid ultrasound: Nodule with a halo
(A) A hypoechoic nodule that is surrounded by a "halo." A halo indicates that there is an interface between the thyroid tissue and the nodule that is less echogenic than either the nodule or the gland. (B) Doppler imaging of a thin, regular halo demonstrates compressed blood vessels.
