Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examples of low-grade neoplasms
Examples of pathologically proven, epileptogenic low-grade neoplasms, which invariably involve the cerebral cortex. Axial T2-weighted MRI images (A, B) demonstrate dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumors (arrows) in two different patients. A coronal T2-weighted image (C) shows a small ganglioglioma (arrow) in the right middle temporal gyrus. A transverse axial FLAIR image (D) shows a hyperintense, infiltrative grade 2 glioma involving the left hippocampus and the parahippocampal gyrus.
