D2 vascular dissection for right colectomy

The tenets of colon cancer surgery include removal of the tumor-bearing colon with en bloc resection of an intact mesentery to the origin of the named primary feeding vessel. Whether a D2 or D3 vascular dissection/lymphadenectomy is performed depends upon tumor stage and surgeon preference. A D2 dissection for right colectomy is shown in this video.
