Removing introducer (bougie) and restoring oxygenation during cricothyrotomy
While keeping a firm grip on the endotracheal tube (ETT) so it is not dislodged, remove the tracheal tube introducer (bougie) and then restore oxygenation and ventilation. Once this is done, proper placement is confirmed and the ETT is secured. These are the final steps of the scalpel-finger-bougie technique of cricothyrotomy.
