Aspiration lung injury on chest computed tomography
Chest computed tomography (CT) with controlled ventilation and thin-slices in a young child with chronic aspiration. Arrows denote bronchiectasis, in a dependent and right>left distribution in:
(A) the apical right upper lobe,
(B) the superior segment of right lower lobe,
(C) the posterior right upper lobe, and
(D) the posterior segments of right and left lower lobes.
The dashed arrow denotes tree-in-bud opacities. Bronchial wall thickening and dependent atelectasis can be seen in each image.
