Stage IV adenocarcinoma with malignant pleural effusion
(A) A 58-year old male who presented with stage IV adenocarcinoma with a malignant pleural effusion.
(B) Due to recurrent dyspnea that improved with thoracentesis, he underwent a tunneled pleural catheter placement on the left (arrows); an exvacuo pneumothorax is present.
(C) The catheter was in place for nine months and removed when output ceased and pleurodesis was achieved.
