Fibro-adipose vascular anomaly

Fibro-adipose vascular anomaly
A 24-year-old patient presented with worsening pain and contracture of her left knee associated with a large mass in her gastric muscle following otherwise routine intervention for chronic venous disease. The patient was unable to dorsiflex her foot or extend the leg, resulting in an abnormal gait. Following resection of the mass, pathology was consistent with fibro-adipose vascular anomaly (FAVA).
