Adjustment of ultrasound time gain compensation

The images shows the effect of the ultrasound TGC setting, which adjusts the gain (brightness) across specific sections of the image based upon the depth of the tissue. In panel A, the near-field gain is too bright, and the far-field gain is too dark. Adjustment of the TGC results in a more uniform grayscale image as shown in panel B.
