TSH targets for long-term thyroid hormone therapy

TSH: thyroid-stimulating hormone; ATA: American Thyroid Association; Tg: thyroglobulin.
* TSH target for patients with biochemical incomplete response can be quite different based on original ATA risk, Tg level, Tg trend over time, and risk of TSH suppression.
¶ 0.5 mU/L represents the lower limit of the reference range for the TSH assay, which can be 0.3 to 0.5 mU/L depending on the specific assay.
