Reconstruction of digit tendon rupture

Reconstruction of digit tendon rupture
The patient suffered a flexor tendon rupture in the left little finger (A). Due to retraction of the tendon at the rupture site and poor condition of the tendon sheath, a silicon tendon rod was initially placed (B). After two months, the tendon was reconstructed using a palmaris longus tendon graft (C). Following recovery, the patient demonstrated good range of motion with extension (D) and flexion of the little finger (E).
