* Concomitant injuries (head, chest, or abdomen) or wound complications (eg, acute infection, skin necrosis) may preclude early repair, typically within three weeks. ¶ As soon as feasible. For some patients, concomitant severe injuries may preclude timely nerve repair, or any form of reconstruction.
