cUS and MRI in a patient with a periventricular hemorrhagic infarction (PVHI)

cUS and MRI in a patient with a periventricular hemorrhagic infarction (PVHI)
The coronal cUS (A) and T2-weighted MRI (B) are both performed at term-equivalent age in a patient born at a gestational age of 26 weeks with a diagnosis of periventricular hemorrhage diagnosed at 30 weeks postmenstrual age. A small clot (arrow) is still seen on cUS, as well as partial communication of the porencephalic cyst.
cUS: cranial ultrasound; MRI: magnetic resonance imaging.
