Mapleson C circuit for endoscopy

This graphic shows one option for airway management and ventilation for gastrointestinal endoscopy, in this case endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). A nasal trumpet is connected to a Mapleson C breathing circuit using an endotracheal tube connector. The Mapleson C circuit is widely available and allows ventilation with a breathing bag without the need for an anesthesia machine.
