Preparation for endoscopic intubation via supraglottic airway

Preparation for endoscopic intubation via supraglottic airway

In this video clip, a lubricated endotracheal tube is placed into the lumen of a supraglottic airway and the cuff inflated within the supraglottic airway to make a seal. A bronchoscope swivel adapter is connected to the end of the endotracheal tube in preparation for insertion of the endoscope. This setup allows continuous ventilations to be performed via the swivel adapter while the endoscope is advanced through the supraglottic airway in subsequent steps.
