(A) Total number of new journal articles listed in PubMed.gov by year.
(B) Number of publications of randomized trials listed in PubMed.gov by year. Data were derived from searching PubMed.gov 1946 to 2019 (searched on April 21, 2021), limiting the date of publication from 1946 to 2019 and limiting results to "randomized controlled trials" and/or "phase III or IV clinical trials."
