Tobramycin dry powder inhaler

TOBI Podhaler is a dry powder inhaler (DPI) for oral inhalation of tobramycin by patients with cystic fibrosis and chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa colonization of their airways. It is not used for acute infection or pneumonia. The inhaler uses capsules that each contain 28 mg of tobramycin powder. Patients typically inhale the contents of 4 capsules twice a day for 28 days followed by 28 days off the drug.
