Bone shadowing

Bone shadowing from the fibular ridge in the mid-leg. This ridge points to the intermuscular septum and superficial peroneal nerve (arrow) for ultrasound-guided ankle block (the "mountain" sign). Note that the cortical surface of the fibula is echo-bright ("snow on the mountain").
