Definitive wound coverage following diabetic plantar infection
The pictures in the figure show the management of a diabetic patient with a chronic sinus draining from the plantar aspect of the foot that was present for over 9 months. Following debridement, the wound was dressed and treated with an interim matrix wound dressing to provide an appropriate wound bed for skin-grafting. The appearance of the foot following placement of a split-thickness skin graft (A), and healed appearance four weeks later (B) are shown.
