Periodic limb movements of sleep on polysomnography

Periodic limb movements of sleep on polysomnography
This figure shows a 30-second epoch of a PSG depicting PLMS in the right and left leg channels. The minimum duration of a limb movement event is 0.5 seconds, and the maximum duration of a limb movement is 10 seconds. The minimum amplitude is 8 microvolts above the resting EMG level, and the minimum period length between PLMS is 5 seconds (measured from onset of former leg to onset of latter leg) with a maximum period length of 90 seconds.
PSG: polysomnography; PLMS: periodic limb movements of sleep; EOG: electrooculography; EEG: electroencephalography; EMG: electromyography; ECG: electrocardiography.
