Operating room layout during robotic surgery

Operating room layout during robotic surgery
The most commonly used robotic system occupies a lot of operating room space. This graphic shows one configuration, with the robotic cart positioned at the patient's head. The cart may be placed at the patient's side (eg, for kidney surgery), and is often placed between the patient's legs in the lithotomy position for gynecologic and urologic surgery.
