TEE views in a patient with anaphylaxis (distributive shock)

TEE views in a patient with anaphylaxis (distributive shock)
Transgastric LV short-axis (left panel) and midesophageal four-chamber view (right panel) in a patient with intraoperative hypotension caused by anaphylaxis treated with intravenous epinephrine. The decreased LV end-systolic cavity size seen in both views resulted from increased myocardial contractility and decreased LV afterload.
TEE: transesophageal echocardiography; LV: left ventricular.
