Computed tomography versus magnetic resonance imaging of allergic fungal rhinosinusitis

Computed tomography versus magnetic resonance imaging of allergic fungal rhinosinusitis
(A) Coronal computed tomography (bone windows) demonstrates bilateral skull base dehiscence.
(B) Coronal T2-weighted magnetic resonance image of the same patient demonstrates enhancement in areas of mucosal thickening in the maxillary and ethmoid sinuses. Note the decreased signal intensity in the area of skull base erosion in the left ethmoid sinus, which is classic for allergic fungal rhinosinusitis.
