Hamstring wrap

Hamstring wrap
Patients recovering from a hamstring muscle strain who are returning to full activity may benefit initially from added support, such as that provided by the wrap described here:
(A) Encircle thigh several times, pulling from a medial to lateral direction.
(B) Pull wrap up across the greater trochanter, around the lower abdomen to the opposite iliac crest, over the waist and gluteals, cross the greater trochanter, and end on the anterior thigh.
(C) Repeat the pattern and reinforce with nonelastic tape.
