The normal urine protein excretion rate is less than 150 mg/day.
Rates of 3500 mg/day or higher are called "nephrotic range proteinuria."
The estimated creatinine excretion rate has not been validated in a pediatric population (age <19 years).

For black females: Estimated creatinine excretion rate = 1148.6 + (15.6 * Age) - (0.3 * Age²)
For non-black females: Estimated creatinine excretion rate = 1051.3 + (5.3 * Age) - (0.1 * Age²)
For black males: Estimated creatinine excretion rate = 1413.9 + (23.2 * Age) - (0.3 * Age²)
For non-black males: Estimated creatinine excretion rate = 1307.3 + (23.1 * Age) - (0.3 * Age²)
