Milk blister

Milk blister
A "milk blister" is caused by a plugged milk duct in the nipple in people who are breastfeeding. It is a white dot near the tip of your nipple and can be tender. If the plugged duct is deeper in your breast, you might feel a tender lump under the surface, but without a white dot. If you have a plugged milk duct, it is important to breastfeed frequently, making sure that your baby is latching on well, and try to empty your breast completely. It might help to use warm compresses and massage your breast to help move the blocked milk toward your nipple. Talk to your health care provider if you have redness in the area or fever or if the pain does not improve within 2 days.
