Insulin pump with continuous glucose monitor[1,2]

Insulin pump with continuous glucose monitor[1,2]

An insulin pump stores insulin in a cartridge and delivers it to the body through tubing that is inserted under the skin. It can be used with a continuous glucose monitor (CGM), which uses a sensor to measure the level of glucose in the fluid under the skin. The sensor is attached to a transmitter, which is attached to the skin with a sticky patch. It wirelessly transmits results to a small recording device, smartphone, or directly to the insulin pump.
